My roommate's cats puke on our carpet at least once a week. Often, cat food is dyed bright red to be more appealing to the cats, but that cat food tends to be hard on sensitive stomachs, and often it comes right back up and onto the carpet.
The problem with this is of course that there is cat puke on the floor. How gross is that? People who have had cats for a few years are by now nearly immune to the ickiness of cleaning up cat puke, but after a while the carpet just looks nasty. How do you get those stains up?
I've tried several things. One of the most effective at picking up cat puke stains comes from using Resolve carpet cleaner. I've even had it remove old, encrusted stains that had been festering in my roommate's room for months, though it took some work. Deep stains need to be moistened with water before the cleaning chemicals can penetrate the stain and effectively lift it off.
The biggest challenge for me was cat urine. Stay tuned for how I bested that!
